No, the insurance contract is between you and Rogz Pet Insurance. You are required to pay the vet in full first and then claim from us.
Do I need pre-authorisation from Rogz Pet Insurance before my pet is treated?
No, you do not need pre-authorisation before your pet is treated.
How do I get paid when my claim has been approved?
The money will be deposited directly into your bank account. You will be sent a Claims Advice letter by email explaining how the claim was paid.
How do I submit a pet insurance claim?

How long after the date of treatment do I have to file a claim?
You have 60 days after the date of treatment to submit a claim.
How long does it take to get reimbursed?
Claims are processed within 14 working days of receipt; payment runs are done twice a week.
How much of the vets bill will be covered?
Benefits are paid according to The Standard Rate* less R230 or 16.5% of the applicable benefit of each and every claim, whichever is the greater**. Annual sublimits apply and are available on the Rogz Pet Insurance Website or on request (, 0860 00 ROGZ / 0860 00 7649). There is no excess deductible for Routine and Dental Care claims.
*The Standard Rate is based on our historical claims data. The Standard Rate treatment list can be downloaded from our Website.
**Continuation treatment of the same condition within 31 days will carry an excess of 16.5% thereafter benefits are reimbursed at 100% of the Standard Rate for all Options. A minimum of R330 excess will apply for pets under the age of 13 months at the time of treatment.
Is there a limit to the number of claims I can make?
No, there is no limit to the number of claims that you can make.
What do I need to do when I make my first claim?
